July 4 Impressions

Is it a coincidence that John Adams, the second President of the United States, and Thomas Jefferson, the third President, both died on July 4, 1826?

July 4, 1776, was the day these men declared their independence from Britain.

adams and jeffersonDuring the Adams Administration, the two differed on almost every issue, and Jefferson defeated Adams and took the Presidency in 1800.

We read in 21st Century Science and Health, “The strong impressions produced on human mind by friendship or by any intense feeling are lasting…Human birth, growth, maturity, and decay are as the grass springing from the soil with beautiful green blades, afterward to wither and return to its native nothingness. These human impressions are temporal; they never merge into spiritual being, but finally disappear, and spiritual being, which is eternal, is found to be the real.”
