Spirit is not easy to define but we can define honesty, industriousness, innocence, and wisdom. And, we can see these spiritual attributes in action. Just like we can see dishonesty, laziness, and guilt manifest.
The clincher is to make sure we don’t believe these attributes are “in” human activities or inside human beings.
To understand that there is no such thing as a harmless innocent human activity is to destroy the belief in a harmful human activity. All activity is a reflection and we want to reflect Spirit.
“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Phil. 1:9-11, ESV)
