People are realizing the power of thought and learning to guard their minds against negative thoughts. This principle is visibly practiced here in upstate New York where farmers have guard dogs that live with their sheep and goats to protect the animals from coyotes.
From Science and Health, “It is most beneficial to become more familiar with good than with evil, and guard against false beliefs as diligently as we bolt our doors against the approach of thieves and murderers. We should love our enemies and help them on the basis of the Golden Rule, “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” Avoid throwing “your pearls to pigs,” because then everyone loses out and is deprived.
“If humanity would properly guard human mind, the breeding evils which aggravate it would be cleared out. We must begin with the human mind and empty out its negativity and self-delusion, or negativity and self-delusion will never cease. Human systems and the collection of human-made policies, disappoint the weary searcher after a divine theology. Human thought is adequately and correctly educated only by spiritual theology.”
